Torneo de Fútbol Femenino de Minorías Étnicas de la Provincia de Gia Lai 2026 - Copa VTV5 - Vietnam
En la mañana del 17 de marzo, en el campo de fútbol del XV Cuerpo de Ejército, dio comienzo oficialmente el Torneo de Fútbol Femenino de Minorías Étnicas de la Provincia de Gia Lai 2026 - Copa VTV5. El torneo fue organizado conjuntamente por el Departamento de Televisión de Minorías Étnicas - Televisión de Vietnam (VTV5), el Departamento Provincial de Cultura, Deportes y Turismo de Gia Lai y el XV Cuerpo de Ejército - Ministerio de Defensa Nacional.
El primer Torneo de Fútbol Femenino para Minorías Étnicas - Copa VTV5 - 2026 se celebrará en un ambiente en el que todo el país celebrará la exitosa elección de diputados a la 16ª Asamblea Nacional y diputados a los Consejos Populares en todos los niveles para el período 2026-2031, y también con vistas a la próxima Semana del Turismo de Vietnam en Gia Lai (inauguración del Año Nacional del Turismo de Gia Lai 2026 el 28 de marzo) en la plaza Dai Doan Ket, provincia de Gia Lai.
Se trata de una actividad práctica destinada a promover aún más el "Movimiento Nacional de Entrenamiento Físico siguiendo el ejemplo del Gran Presidente Ho Chi Minh", contribuyendo al desarrollo de movimientos de educación física y deportes de masas, especialmente en zonas de minorías étnicas, regiones montañosas y zonas fronterizas.
Durante la ceremonia de inauguración del torneo de fútbol, el Sr. Nguyen Van Y, subdirector del Departamento de Cultura, Deportes y Turismo de la provincia de Gia Lai, declaró: «El torneo de este año cuenta con la participación de 120 atletas femeninas de grupos étnicos minoritarios, que representan a localidades y unidades de las regiones Central y de las Tierras Altas Centrales. El torneo no solo es un evento deportivo saludable y beneficioso, sino también una oportunidad para que las atletas interactúen, aprendan y fortalezcan la solidaridad entre localidades y comunidades étnicas».
Las jugadoras que participan en el torneo representan a numerosas comunidades de minorías étnicas, como los Ede, Jrai, Ba Na, Ro Mam, Xo Dang, Tay, Nung y Thai.
El Sr. Nguyen Van Y agregó: A través de este torneo, el Comité Organizador espera seguir difundiendo los logros derivados de la atención e inversión del Partido y el Estado en las regiones de minorías étnicas, montañosas y fronterizas, donde la vida económica y cultural de la población está mejorando progresivamente. Con el aumento del nivel de vida, las personas tienen más oportunidades de participar en actividades culturales y deportivas; el papel de las mujeres de las minorías étnicas se reafirma cada vez más, contribuyendo a preservar y promover los valiosos valores culturales de cada grupo étnico.
"El torneo también representa una oportunidad para promover la imagen de la tierra y la gente de Gia Lai, honrar los valores culturales únicos de los grupos étnicos de las Tierras Altas Centrales y contribuir a fortalecer la solidaridad entre militares y civiles, así como a construir una vida cultural sana en la comunidad", enfatizó el Sr. Nguyen Van Y.
El torneo de este año reúne a 8 equipos de provincias de las regiones de la costa central sur y las tierras altas centrales, entre ellos: Ea Păl (Đắk Lắk), Ea Knốp (Đắk Lắk), Đak Đoa (Gia Lai), Jrai (Gia Lai), Unidad de Defensa Económica 72 - Ia Nan (Gia Lai), Unidad de Defensa Económica 717 - Ia Tôr (Gia Lai), Unidad de Defensa Económica 78 - Mô Rai (Quảng Ngãi) y Unidad de Defensa Económica 732 - Sa Loong (Quảng Ngãi).
On the morning of March 17, the Gia Lai Provincial Ethnic
Minority Women's Football Tournament 2026 – VTV5 Cup officially kicked off at
the XV Army Corps football field. The tournament was jointly organized by the
Ethnic Minority Television Department – Vietnam Television (VTV5), the Gia
Lai Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the XV Army Corps
– Ministry of National Defense.

The first Women's Football Tournament for Ethnic Minorities
– VTV5 Cup – 2026 will be held amidst the nationwide celebrations of the
successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to
People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, and also in
anticipation of the upcoming Vietnam Tourism Week in Gia Lai (the opening of
Gia Lai National Tourism Year 2026 on March 28) at Dai Doan Ket Square, Gia Lai
Province.
This practical activity aims to further promote the
"National Physical Training Movement Following the Example of Great
President Ho Chi Minh," contributing to the development of mass physical
education and sports movements, especially in ethnic minority areas,
mountainous regions, and border areas.
Mr. Nguyen Van Y, Deputy Director of the Department of
Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Gia Lai Province, delivered a speech.
During the opening ceremony of the football tournament, Mr.
Nguyen Van Y, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism
of Gia Lai Province, stated, “This year’s tournament features 120 female
athletes from ethnic minority groups, representing localities and units in the
Central and Central Highlands regions. The tournament is not only a healthy and
beneficial sporting event but also an opportunity for the athletes to interact,
learn, and strengthen solidarity among localities and ethnic communities.”
The players participating in the tournament represent
numerous ethnic minority communities, including the Ede, Jrai, Ba Na, Ro Mam,
Xo Dang, Tay, Nung, and Thai.
Mr. Nguyen Van Y added: Through this tournament, the
Organizing Committee hopes to further disseminate the achievements resulting
from the Party and State's attention and investment in ethnic minority,
mountainous, and border regions, where the economic and cultural life of the
population is steadily improving. With the rising standard of living, people
have more opportunities to participate in cultural and sporting activities; the
role of ethnic minority women is increasingly being reaffirmed, contributing to
the preservation and promotion of the valuable cultural values of each ethnic
group.
"The tournament also represents an opportunity to
promote the image of the land and people of Gia Lai, honor the unique cultural
values of the ethnic groups of the Central Highlands, and contribute to
strengthening solidarity between the military and civilians, as well as
building a healthy cultural life in the community," emphasized Mr. Nguyen
Van Y.
Commemorative flags were presented to the eight teams
participating in the 2026 tournament. This year's tournament brings together
eight teams from provinces in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands
regions, including: Ea Păl (Đắk Lắk), Ea Knốp (Đắk Lắk), Đak Đoa (Gia Lai),
Jrai (Gia Lai), Economic Defense Unit 72 - Ia Nan (Gia Lai), Economic Defense
Unit 717 - Ia Tôr (Gia Lai), and the Defense Unit. Economic 78 - Mô Rai (Quảng
Ngãi) and Economic Defense Unit 732 - Sa Loong (Quảng Ngãi).
